- 1 Cup Chole soak and pressure cooked
- 2 Tablespoon oil
- 1 Tomato, chopped
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin
- 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 Tablespoon Chana masala
- 1 Teaspoon Chat Masala
- 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- 3 cups water
- to taste Salt
- for imli chutney-
- 1 Tablespoon Tamarind Puree
- 3 Tablespoon Jaggery
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 Teaspoon Black Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin
- Pinch red chilli powder
- FOR GREEN CHUTNEY- 1 cup Wash and Chopped
- 2 green chilli
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 Teaspoon Black Salt
- FOR ALOO TIKIYA- 1 cup potato boiled and mashed
- 2 Tablespoon Rice flour or cornflour
- 1 green chilli chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Coriander chopped
- 1/2 Teaspoon Black Salt
- TO ASSEMBLE CHAT- 1/2 Cup beaten curd
- 1/2 Onion finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Sev or any other namkeen farsaan
- Coriander chopped for Garnishing
Instructions to make to make Chole tikiya
- Firstly we'll prepare Chole heat oil in a pan add cumin and tomato.
- Once tomato gets cooked add ginger garlic paste sautee' for 2 minutes.
- Add Red chilli powder, Chat Masala and chole masala.
- Now add chole and mash little chole before adding. Add salt and water and simmer it. And keep it aside.
- For Imli Chutney- in a pan add all the given ingredients and boil till jaggery melts and chutney becomes thick. Remove it from flame and keep it aside.
- For Green Chutney- in a blender add all the given ingredients and blend it into smooth chutney. You can add little water if you want. And keep it aside.
- For Tikiya- mix all the ingredients and make it like a dough.
- Now make flat tikiya and shallow fry it on a pan.
- Make tikiya out of entire Dough.
- Time to assemble the chat. In a bowl place tikiya then pour chole, add green Chutney and imli chutney add some chopped onion and Coriander, some dahi (you can add sugar in beaten yogurt) finally add namkeen I am using Sev. And the chat is ready to serve
